What Is Dirty Soda?

Dirty soda’s main ingredients are diet cola, coconut syrup, lime juice, and then creamer. It is known as a substitute for a coffee with the creamer. Chain soda shops such as Swig have other versions of the drink such as the “Pink Lady.” The Pink Lady is made with Sprite, cherry syrup, and sweet cream.

Origin of Dirty Soda

The Dirty Soda trend traces back to Utah. 70% of Utah are Mormons and members are prohibited form drinking hot caffeinated drinks such as tea or coffee. The church declared in 2012 that cold caffeinated drinks are not prohibited. This is when the drink came to be. Soda shops are all around Utah that share the drink to local members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
