Making the Pinterest Frog Cake

If someone was to ask me what my favorite app on my phone is, my answer would be Pinterest. This ever-expanding app full of recipe ideas and DIYs never fails to motivate me to head into the kitchen.

I was scrolling on the app when I came across a certain frog cake by @oracle_bakery on Instagram. This bright, childish cake brought me back to my childhood watching a certain episode of Max and Ruby. The two main characters, Max and Ruby, were eating pastel cake with rainbow sprinkles on top. The theme of childish desserts inspired me to make this cake.

I made this cake for my friend’s 15th birthday. The inside was funfetti and the little frogs were gingerbread cake. Because of the time restrictions of only having a couple of hours to finish this cake, I opted to use a box mix.
